The second edition of the Tao of Bachelorhood podcast includes:

  • A wrap-up for the Ultimate Spring Cleaning project
  • A discussion of “text game,” why it’s the new buzzword, and whether you can (and should) go from a photo in Facebook to a date entirely using your thumbs. Is seducing women not unlike playing Zork?
  • A contest! My Podcast listeners are the first to know about the first Tao of Bachelorhood giveaway!

Thanks for listening.

As usual, don’t be shy about letting me have your suggestions and questions at bachelorhood@gmail.com.

Great podcast. Firstly i’d just like to say I appreciate the spring cleaning articles, personally i think there’s enough material in there for whole book.

I agree with your thoughts on txting. It’s definately a skill that requires practice though not one that i think needs to be a major part of the process. A short sharp phone call for a meetup is still better. I use txting only for confirmations and keeping her laughing (incase she txts you).

Too much of it and you run the risk of 1. Becoming too available 2. Large doses of mis-communication and 3. Becoming one of those people that is never “present” and has their head stuck in a little device.

Thanks for the good words, Filip!

I absolutely agree, the “short sharp phone call” is a skill guys must develop. You can convey so much more personality with voice and mannerisms. Sounds like you’re on the right path.
